The Queensland Sustainable Energy Industry Development Group (QSEIDG) is a non-profit, non-incorporated association that focuses specifically on moving forward the integration of renewable energy systems and energy efficiency into Queensland’s energy mix as one means of developing a sustainable society.

QSEIDG was established in March 2004 to build on and enhance the collaborations that commenced through the various activities of the Australian CRC for Renewable Energy (ACRE). Its aim is to actively assist Queensland’s transition to a more reliable, secure and sustainable provision of energy services. It does this by initiating and developing projects and activities in three broad areas:

  1. Sustainable energy futures (market and policy issues) Check out our 2007 reports and analysis of Queensland's renewable energy potential!
  2. Technology applications (applied research in the design and development of sustainable energy technologies and supporting technologies and infrastructure) Read the findings of our 2007 post-occupancy energy use survey for Kelvin Grove Urban Village!  Read about QUT's Same Attitude New Latitude project concerning people, buildings and air-conditioning use in sub-tropical climates.

  3. Education and training (to enhance the ability of all sectors to make informed decisions affecting our energy future). Download some free school activitities.
